Tasting Notes: The hotter than average 2009 vintage pushed grapes to full maturity and the resulting wine is full-bodied, warm and rich.  Dried fruits dominate the nose, with secondary notes of jasmine, truffles and wet stone.

On the palate, cranberry and cherry round out the profile of dusty tannins and bracing acidity, with an intensely long finish.  The use of oak is pleasant and unobtrusive, with just hints of baking spice, cedar and pencil shavings.

Over time, the flavors deepen and hints of game, darker berries and earth emerge.

We hope you enjoy this inaugural vintage.
